The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal program designed to provide dental coverage to Canadians who meet the following eligibility requirements:

You have no private dental insurance
Your adjusted family net income is below $90,000
You’re a Canadian resident for tax purposes
You filed your 2024 tax return

CDCP Expansion – Who Can Apply Now?

As of May 2025, adults aged 18 to 64 are now eligible to apply. The rollout is happening in phases:

May 1: Ages 55–64
May 15: Ages 18–34
May 29: Ages 35–54

Coverage begins as early as June 1, 2025, depending on your approval date.
